Google Page Rank

1 11 2007

Google logoGoogle logoFor a site less than 2 months old, I am pretty pleased to get a Google Page Rank of 3. This to be fair is the best I could have hoped for in such a short period of time.

Google has recently had a shake-up with how it ranks websites, with many blog sites actually losing rank scores due to link farm issues (not in my backyard though!). This can then have a negative effect on where their site sits in the natural search and with it, a reduction in visitors.

To those who are wondering what I am talking about, in laymen terms, Google ranks every site between 0-10, with 10 being the highest score and 0 being pretty poor (unless your site is new). This is effectively Google’s way of sanity checking every site to position it within their natural search engine.
